If you are searching for an ambitious, freethinking illustrator, or professional yet highly entertaining caricature artist well you came to the right place!
 
Illustration
Honoured with the Illustration medal and numerous scholarships, the recently graduated OCAD student, Received her BDES (with distinction), in June 2006.
She has decorated the pages of exclaim! Greenliving and Feathertale, as well as numerous storyboard/comp/poster design work for some of Toronto’s top advertising agencies.
She is currently exploring some personal projects, including children's illustration, and auto-bio comic and some collaborative short-story/illustration stuff.
Her work is often described as awesome.
 
Caricature
 
Sam Gorrie is re-introducing Toronto to the art of live caricature, and her studio pieces are making their way into the lives and homes of families worldwide. She is creating quite a buzz with her talent, enthusiasm and unique approach to the art-form, most notably her new invention, buttoncatures.
 
There are two ways you can make use of Sam Gorries’ Talents.
a) You can hire her to draw dozens of your guests at your next event or b) you may want to commission a piece for a wedding, birthday, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or office party. They make great gifts!
 
Sam is an active member in the NCN (national caricature network) and creator of Canuckature a blog network of exclusively Canadian caricature artists.
 
Sam loves her job because people pay her to come to their parties and make fun of their friends. It doesn’t get any better than that.
